June is a slower month in healthcare so you have to be on top of your game.
It is hot and a lot of people will start taking their vacations. This year, of course, is a different year, due to COVID-19. Social Distancing and still important.

Working on the weekends, shows to your referrals sources you going the extra mile. You will get to talk to more people on the weekends and they will appreciate you coming by. I love to pass out - ice cream in June. I get a cooler with wheels and I go through handout ice cream sandwiches. It brings such smiles on their faces, plus this is thinking out of the box. You have to come up with ideas that others are not doing. I place the ICECREAM truck music on my phone, so they hear me coming!!

Throw a Luau Lunch or After Hours Party for your referral sources. Everyone enjoys going to Luau party - you just need to put a good place in place to ensure you have 15 plus people there. Father's Day celebration is a must and it's a BIG deal, so we want to make sure all dads get a fun celebration.

Summer Activities - Stay inside or Have a Pool Party!
But if you go outside make it fun - buy a small pool for the residents to put their feet in and throw a beach ball. Play beach music and pass out ice cream floats! Keeping them moving is important and bringing smiles to their faces is the best!
Let them make signs of their favorite BEACH vacations - let them share their poster on Facebook!

Mall Shopping Trip & Exercise
While we still have indoor shopping centers, let's take our Residents to the mall. They love to get out and exercise. It would be good marketing to have T-shirts on so everyone knows where they are from. *But remember it could be bad marketing if you your residents do not look groomed nor if CNA's are not paying attention to the residents.

Remote Control Car - RACE
This is fun way to stay inside, but to have watch residents turn into kids again! Set your RC cars up and let them the races begin. You will need at least 2 cars 🚗.
